The Gift Of Love

The Gift Of Love by Amy Clipston promises to be a story of love, and the gift of life, through organ donation. Amy's husband, Joe, develops kidney disease and needs a transplant. But Amy's not a donor match, and there's a list of 100,000 other people waiting for a kidney. They decide to participate in a donor match program where Amy donates her kidney to a stranger in exchange for a stranger's kidney for Joe. This is a story of hope, faith, trust, and perseverance.

I wasn't sure if I'd like this book or not because I'd never heard of Amy Clipston or read any of her books. However, you don't need to know who Amy is to love this book! Her story is so touching and heartwarming. I couldn't put the book down waiting to see what would happen and how everything would turn out. It's a fairly short and definitely easy read (the meat of the story is only 216 pages), and it's something you'll probably want to sit down and read in one afternoon! I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys memoirs.

I received a copy of this book from BookLook Bloggers in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.
