Healing Is A Choice

I just had the privilege of reading Healing Is A Choice by Stephen Arterburn. When I received this book in the mail, I was immediately overwhelmed by the size of the book. At nearly 500 pages, this book was huge. My husband thought there were two books in the package! I thought this would be difficult to get through. However, I was hooked in by the intro and it became one of those books you don't want to put down.

The format was ten truths to help lead you to being well along with ten lies that can prevent you from wholeness. After each truth/lie, there is a section with the workbook questions. These weren't just a list of questions to think about; each section had many questions that delved deep into the material, as well as having you look up and study Bible verses. This format worked very well as it was integrated into each chapter and you didn't have to flip to the back to find the workbook questions. The questions are excellent for either personal study or small group study.

As soon as I read the first chapter, I could tell this was a book that could have the potential to be a life changer. It truly went beyond the surface and dug deep into many issues. This is an excellent book and I highly recommend it.

I was provided a copy of this book by BookSneeze in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.
